Tommy lost 197 lbs with LCHF – the fat diet

Tommy lost 50 percent of his weight

In September 2009, after watching an interview with Sten-Sture Skaldeman, Tommy weighted himself for the first time. The scale showed 174.4 kg (about 386 lbs).

From the beginning he ate quite strict LCHF. The only vegetables were basically cauliflower, broccoli, green asparagus and spinach. There was a lot of meat, fish and poultry with herb butter and seasoned mayonnaise. It was also quite a lot of different kinds of cheese.

The average first months he lost close to 2 kg (4 lbs) per week. This spurred me of course and I decided to give LCHF another few months to at least go down to the weight.

It went really well and the pounds fell and milestone after milestone were achieved. The last weigh-in for 2010, he weighed in at just under 100kg (222 lbs) and now weighed less than 100 kg the first time in 20 years.

In August 2011 he weight over 85kg and have halved his starting weight from September 2009.

LCHF For Beginners

Congratulations on your decision to begin a new, healthier life.

LCHF is a new Swedish low-carbohydrate and ketogenic diet where low intake of carbohydrates (low carb) is replaced with a higher intake of high fat. The diet makes it easier to lose weight and control your blood sugar.
